A Piece Of Donkey Kong Bananza Info Suggests A New 3D Mario Project Is Being Developed In Parallel
Nintendo fans have started speculating that Nintendo is currently working on both Donkey Kong Bananza and a new 3D Mario project at the same time according to one piece of information that was revealed from media interviews this week.
Interviews have revealed that Donkey Kong Bananza is being produced by Kenta Motokura and directed by Kazuya Takahashi, and that these individuals were asked to look into the possibility of making a 3D Donkey Kong game by Yoshiaki Koizumi, the producer of Super Mario Odyssey.
Interestingly, Koizumi himself isn’t involved in the development of Donkey Kong Bananza, despite being the person who came up with the idea of making a new 3D Donkey Kong title. His absence from Donkey Kong Bananza, as well as his involvement in past 3D Mario titles like Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario 3D World, could indicate that he is currently leading the new 3D Mario project, suggesting that both Donkey Kong Bananza and this new 3D Mario are being developed at the same time.
Of course, there’s no confirmation yet as this is speculation based on one piece of key information.
