Aerial Photographs Provide More Hints Towards Donkey Kong Expansion For Super Nintendo World

A few days ago, VGC shared several photos from their preview tour of Super Nintendo World, where they discovered a mysterious locked door which appeared to hint at a new area for the park.

Since then, some further evidence of this new area has been making rounds online. This evidence comes in the form of aerial screenshots of the park posted earlier this month, which shows that the mysterious door leads directly into an empty lot that is about the same size as the Mario area of Super Nintendo World.

Based on the door’s design and datamines from the Super Nintendo World app, it is believed that this currently empty plot will eventually be turned into a Donkey Kong area for the park. That said, judging from the photographs, it seems likely that the area is still in the early stages of construction, and is thus a long way from completion. We will be sure to report back with more details should they become available.
