It looks like AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative players will be able to enjoy some fun diversions while they work on their investigations!

Spike Chunsoft has shared new details and screenshots for the game. In particular, this sequel will include an all-new Eyeballie mini-game – along with the ability to visit Aiba’s/Tama’s Room for some bonus content!

In the Eyeballie mini-game, players will be able to raise the titular Eyeballie – which will ask them a question every 20 minutes. By responding with one of four answers, players can encourage Eyeballie to grow in different ways.

In addition to this, the game will let players visit their AI partners Aiba and Tama in Mizuki and Ryuki’s stories respectively. This will let players dress Aiba/Tama in different costumes that will reflect during regular gameplay. Additionally, players can also visit Aiba and Tama for “AI life counseling”.

Players will be able to unlock such costumes and Dream Albums by progressing through the main game and by satisfying certain conditions while exploring a Somnium. To acquire unlocked items, players will also need to collect “eyeballs” while exploring a Somnium.

AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative will be hitting Nintendo Switch on 23 June 2022 in Japan, 24 June 2022 in North America, and 8 July 2022 in Europe. We’ll report back if we hear more in the future.
