Earlier today, we reported that the Mario & Luigi RPG series development studio Alphadream had sadly filed for bankruptcy. While reality continues to set in for fans of the hilarious games on GBA, DS, and 3DS – another piece of the company’s long history has now disappeared into the void.
Alphadream’s website has officially shut down, with only the words ‘データベース接続確立エラー’ (Database Connection error) greeting visitors. Originally, the site would display updates and summaries for its many titles, along with occasional blog posts.
You can still visit old archives of Alphadream’s website over here. Sadly, however, many of its sub-domains containing the company’s blog posts and other tidbits were not similarly catalogued. Those are essentially gone forever.
Overall, it continues to be a sober week for fans of the company. Here’s hoping that Alphadream’s staff will find better work soon.
