American Receives Backlash For Demanding Japanese Artist To Apologize For “Whitewashing” Nessa

Today we have some really strange news about someone arguing over another person’s beautiful fan art of Pokemon Sword and Shield gym leader Nessa.

Japanese artist @Naju0517 posted the following fan art last week and received many praises from Pokemon fans all over the world:

But an American called @jasminjoestar modified @Naju0517’s artwork without her permission, accusing her of whitewashing and of course @Naju0517 was unhappy about it:

Instead of apologzing to @Naju0517, @jasminjoestar accused the Japanese artist of being a racist.

Other Twitter followers soon expressed their support for @Naju0517:

“Please ignore this foreigner. The artwork you made is very pretty.  Though Americans are very involved in politics, some could become really rude. I feel so embarrassed by this. Please continue drawing the things you like.”

Not many people supported @jasminjoestar as her argument of whitewashing didn’t really stand, as explained by another Twitter user below:

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

UPDATE – An apology has been made and all is well now!
