Today we have some really strange news about someone arguing over another person’s beautiful fan art of Pokemon Sword and Shield gym leader Nessa.
Japanese artist @Naju0517 posted the following fan art last week and received many praises from Pokemon fans all over the world:
But an American called @jasminjoestar modified @Naju0517’s artwork without her permission, accusing her of whitewashing and of course @Naju0517 was unhappy about it:
Instead of apologzing to @Naju0517, @jasminjoestar accused the Japanese artist of being a racist.
Other Twitter followers soon expressed their support for @Naju0517:
“Please ignore this foreigner. The artwork you made is very pretty. Though Americans are very involved in politics, some could become really rude. I feel so embarrassed by this. Please continue drawing the things you like.”
Not many people supported @jasminjoestar as her argument of whitewashing didn’t really stand, as explained by another Twitter user below:
