An Official Slowpoke Post Box Has Been Set Up In Japan’s Takamatsu City
As you’ll know, Slowpoke is the current ‘Pokemon Ambassador’ for Kagawa prefecture in Japan, due to its Japanese name (Yadon) sounding similar to Kagawa’s famous udon dishes. Previously, the lazy Pokemon received some love in the form of some beautiful manholes around the area – but now fans can pay Slowpoke a visit while posting their letters as well!
As part of a collaboration with The Pokemon Company, Takamatsu City’s Takamatsu Chuo Post Office installed an official “Yadon Udon” (Slowpoke Udon) Post Box at its premises this week. As you can in the pictures below, the post box is designed to look like Slowpoke is sitting in some udon noodles:
Additionally, the post office revealed its own special Slowpoke postal delivery van which will feature various Slowpoke artwork on its exterior. Visitors to the post office will also be able to use a special ink stamp featuring Slowpoke too.
What do you think? Will you be paying a visit to this lovely postbox if you visit Japan in the future? Feel free to share below!
