It seems that Nintendo Switch 2 is shaping up as one of Nintendo’s biggest console launches in history in Japan.

Toyo Securities analyst Yasuda predicts that the Nintendo Switch 2 will sell 800,000 to 1 million units in its first week in Japan alone. This would mean somewhere around 5 million units worldwide at launch. Yasuda says that this would be a “marvelous start” that has no equivalent precedent in the past.
