Last year, we shared with Nintendo had changed the official Traditional Chinese title for Animal Crossing.
It appears that Nintendo has also decided to change the official Simplified Chinese title for Animal Crossing. Previously, Animal Crossing was called “动物森林” (Animal Forest), but now it has changed to “动物森友会” (Animal Forest Friend Gathering). The new title is used for the upcoming Animal Crossing Switch game as well as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
