The official Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Twitter account has teased 4 new animals coming to the game in the near future.

We should be hearing more about them pretty soon as these animals were added in the game’s recent version 1.2.0 update. They’re just sitting somewhere inside your phone awaiting Nintendo’s activation call.
