Several months ago, we reported on the tragic closure of developer Sprite/Fairys. The shuttering of its doors meant that Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue would likely never head to the west…until now.
A recent Kickstarter campaign by NekoNyan has just achieved enough funding for an English Switch port of the visual novel! Thanks to fans who contributed more than 80,000€ to the cause, the game will no longer remain a Japanese-exclusive title.
For now, NekoNyan has no plans for an Switch physical release – although they did not outright reject the idea, either. We’ll report back when we hear more about this visual novel’s second chance in the west!
