Ash Ketchum Has Won The Masters Eight Tournament And Become World Champion

Earlier today, the latest episode of Pokemon Journeys’ Masters Eight tournament aired in Japan, featuring the closing moments of the final match between Ash and Galar Region Champion Leon.

After an intense battle, Ash has emerged victorious against Leon, and has been crowned the world champion of the Pokemon anime series. It was a hard won victory for Ketchum after many years of failing to become Champion in the tournaments for other regions, with the exception of Alola.

The Pokemon Company themselves took to Twitter to congratulate Ash on this achievement, as seen in the Twitter post below:

At the time of this writing, nobody knows what’s next for Ash in his Pokemon Journey, but stay tuned for more info as it comes.
