During The Game Awards 2022, it was announced that Bayonetta 3 won Best Action Game for 2022.
The newest entry in the action RPG series beat out other major multiplatform titles such as SIFU and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II to take the win. This comes after controversy and a call from the former Bayonetta voice actor to boycott the games in weeks leading up to its release.
This also comes a big win due to its relatively recent release along with platform exclusivity to the Nintendo Switch.
