Behind The Scenes Super Mario Odyssey’s Jump Up, Super Star! Recording Session

To commemorate the launch of the Super Mario Odyssey OST in Japan, Nintendo released a video showing the recording session for Jump Up, Super Star!

Jump Up, Super Star! was the first ever vocal track for the Super Mario series. In the early stages of composing the song, many different genres were considered. To match the game, they decided on a bright Jazz like melody. Only 17 people were involved in performing Jump Up, Super Star!, but the song feels like the work of an impressive big band.
