Japanese retailer Best Denki has been caught in a huge mess after revelations came to light that the retailer is possibly offloading their Nintendo Switch stock to scalpers reselling to China, rather than their own customers.
These revelations came to light after shipping labels pasted on Nintendo Switch cartons at a scalper’s warehouse were traced back to two different Best Denki outlets:
By checking the store number on the Best Denki, we can tell that both the store number and store location matches what’s written on the shipping label.
Best Denki has issued an official statement, claiming that the posts circulating on social media that the retailer is offloading stock to scalpers are “groundless”. Still, many Japanese users are angry with the retailer, and have became even more suspicious after posts about the scandal were taken down on places such as Twitter.
