Capcom Officially Comments On Nintendo Switch Support

During Capcom’s recent fiscal briefing, the company officially commented on how they will tackle Nintendo Switch going forward.

Capcom sees the Nintendo Switch in a very positive light thanks to its splendid performance this year, and the company will support the Switch based on its “fundamental strategy of multiplatform development”. They’re also looking into how to best utilize the Nintendo Switch’s peculiar features for its games, which other home consoles do not have.

We feel the favorable performance of the Nintendo Switch, and the impact it is having on reaffirming the status of home video game consoles, are very positive. Going forward we will support the Nintendo Switch based on our fundamental strategy of multiplatform development.
Further, we are cognizant of the need to evaluate further how to best utilize the unique features of this platform, which differ from those of other home video game consoles.
