Wondering who in the Mushroom Kingdom is the fairest of them all? Thanks to the power of data, we now have a better idea of who are the most popular Super Mario characters out there!
Chicco, an Italian clothing and toys manufacturer, recently conducted some research on the most popular Super Mario characters in America. Thanks to Google Trends data over the past 5 years, they managed to identify which characters were the most searched-for throughout every U.S. state. Check them out below:
In total, Wario turned out the be the most popular search in the highest number of states during this time period. In second place was Luigi, followed by Daisy.
Chicco also compared the search trends for Mario vs Luigi throughout the U.S., with Luigi coming out on top in more states. Additionally, they analyzed the search trends for Princess Peach vs Princess Daisy – with Princess Daisy emerging as the more popular character.
