Ahead of the game’s release in less than a month, various outlets and content creators have started posting some early previews for Pokemon Scarlet And Violet.
These lucky trainers got a chance to play about the game for about an hour at a special event, and have now been given their permission to share their impressions online. You can check out videos of these previews below, along with a summary of some new details that have surfaced from them:
- Trainers no longer initiate battles automatically, and must be spoken to before battles can be triggered.
- Players can throw their Pokeball at wild pokemon to initiate battles, similar to Legends Arceus.
- Wild Pokemon will remain where they are and may spectate battles.
- Shinies appear Shiny in the overworld.
- There are reportedly “a lot” of customization options outside of Academy Uniforms, supposedly the most in any Pokemon game to date.
- Character customization can be done at the very start of the game.
- Players can change their Pokemon’s nickname whenever they want.
- You can change your Pokemon’s moves whenever you want, similar to Legends Arceus.
