Earlier this month, a trailer for Cooking Mama: Cookstar on Switch was published, before being promptly de-listed from public viewing. This possible trailer leak originally revealed a March 2020 release for the game – but it looks like that might be changing.
Gaming rental website GameFly has updated its listings of the game for both Switch and PS4, with the PS4 version now sporting a release date of 28 April 2020. The Switch version still lists an alternate release date of 31 March 2020, however – so it’s not clear which one will hold true in the end.
We’ve already seen GameFly correctly leak release details for the Switch versions of VOEZ and Mutant Year Zero before, so at least one of these listed dates is probably true. To some extent, this may also explain why the trailer was removed from view – since the March 2020 release window might not have been accurate.
We’ll just have to see if GameFly’s listing holds true when we hear more in the future. Stay tuned!
