It appears that the Nintendo Switch 2 will allow users to store and play music in some way, according to a datamine of the latest WWE 2K25 update.
The update contains a string suggesting that players can use music stored on their Nintendo Switch 2 console to use as tracks for the entry soundtrack. It is unclear whether these tracks refer to music files stored on the memory card by the player, or music downloaded via the Nintendo eShop or some other streaming service.
“If you have music stored on your Nintendo Switch 2 console, you can use these tracks for the entry soundtrack.”
The last Nintendo console with the ability to play music files was the Nintendo 3DS via the Nintendo 3DS Sound application. Currently, there doesn’t seem to be any Nintendo Switch games that have the ability to play music stored on a memory card.
