Dataminer Finds The Scoring Systems Used To Achieve 5 Stars In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Achieving a 5 star island evaluation is one of the most important things to do in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Although there are no details on how exactly a 5 star rating is awarded, dataminer Ninji has found several conditions the game requires in order to achieve a 5 star island evaluation.

First, the game has two scoring systems called “life” and “nature”. To get a 5 star rating, you need over 665 life points and over 450 nature points. It’s currently unclear what contributes to the life points and nature points, though adding a mix of DIY and Nook Shopping furniture, fences, flowers, and having 10 villagers should help.

Next, there are another three conditions that will make you lose your 5 star rating. If you have over 220 trees on your island, over 15 loose items lying around your island, or a “very messy map”, you will lose your 5 star rating.
