It appears that Motion Twin’s Dead Cells has made a larger splash on Nintendo’s newest console.
According to Destructoid, a marketer for Dead Cells observed that the Switch release has outsold the PS4 version by ‘a factor of four to one’ so far. This is more impressive considering that the Nintendo Switch has a smaller install base compared to Sony’s PS4.
While the same marketer gave no specific breakdown of digital and physical sales, the trend is encouraging for indie developers. The Nintendo Switch is certainly becoming a home for high-quality independent games to stand out.
