Digimon video game series producer Habumon has given the reason why the strategy RPG’s release has been delayed.
Digimon Survive has been initially confirmed to be launching in Japan and in the west within 2019. However, during the Anime Expo 2019 panel, Bandai Namco confirmed that the game’s release will be pushed further until 2020. On Twitter, Habumon revealed that it was due to the game development structure’s reorganization.
Here’s what he had to say:
“Regarding Survive, the planned release date has been changed to 2020 because of a reorganization of our game development structure. Sorry to keep you waiting. Once again, I feel deeply the hardships of game development… We will continue to develop the game in order to make it a good product, so please look forward to it.”
