Data from Amazon Japan shows that Donkey Kong Bananza has sold over 10,000 copies, one day ahead of its launch on July 17, 2025.
Based on Amazon Japan data from past Nintendo Switch 2 titles such as Mario Kart World, we estimate that Donkey Kong Bananza will sell between 100,000 to 180,000 units (Famitsu estimates) at retail in its first four days in Japan. For reference, Mario Kart World sold 782,566 units (inclusive of the hardware bundle) in its first four days, according to Famitsu estimates.
Japanese users are also estimating that the physical version will sell between 100,000 to 150,000 units at retail, with digital sales being higher than physical sales as the game is 1,000 yen cheaper than the physical version.
