Today, we have something interesting to share with you on the results of overclocking your Nintendo Switch. Reddit user SkullKidChrs overclocked his system from 307 MHz to 768 MHz in Handheld Mode. Keep in mind the original GPU clock speed for Handheld Mode is 307 MHz.
The results were astonishing – after overclocking his Switch, DOOM no longer looked blurry in Handheld Mode. Shadows and lighting drastically improved. It looks exactly the same as how it would be in TV Mode:
Before (307 MHz):
After (768 MHz):
Before you start overclocking your Switch in Handheld Mode, keep in mind that although the Switch doesn’t turn hot in Handheld Mode, the battery drained from 100% to 75% in 30 minutes, so it’s highly recommended that you connect it to an official AC adapter if you want to experiment with this.
