Today we have some interesting news to share with those hoping for a western localization for Doraemon: Nobita’s Story of Seasons.
As we have previously reported, the game is coming to Japan and Hong Kong sometime this year. Today an age rating for the game has popped up in Taiwan’s video game classifications database, and what makes this so interesting is the fact the “original title” on the listing is “DORAEMON Story of Seasons”:
Why is this interesting? Bandai Namco Entertainment could have opted with filling up the Japanese title for the “original title” field, but they chose to use “DORAEMON Story of Seasons”, an English name instead.
The presence of an English name could potentially mean the company is planning to release an English version sometime in the future. Given that Story of Seasons is really popular in the west, it makes sense.
