Dragon Quest XI S Countdown Special Livestream Announced For September 26

In celebration of the release of Dragon Quest XI S, Square Enix has announced a special countdown livestream to be held the day before its official launch.

This will be the fourth and presumably final “Dragon Quest XI Channel S” livestream for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition. The stream will be divided into two parts:

  • Part 1 will feature appearances from Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii and none other than Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai who will have a “special discussion” possibly about The Hero character in Smash.
  • Part 2 will star the Japanese voice cast of Dragon Quest XI S, who will be discussing the game and the series itself while counting down to the game’s launch on September 27 midnight.

The stream will start on 26 September at 9pm JST, and will last all the way until 27 September 1AM JST. While the livestream links have yet to be shared, it will presumably air via Square Enix’s Japanese Youtube Channel here. This post will be updated with the official link when it becomes available.
