While most of us are willing to wait for Dragon Quest XI to be localised on the Switch, fans should really not hold their breath. In Replying to a tweet asking if there will be a Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest XI, Square Enix reaffirmed that the game is indeed coming to the Nintendo Switch. However, they also said that the development of the Switch’ version is still “quite a ways off”, meaning that the game is unlikely to be released in North America and Europe alongside its PS4 and Steam counterparts.
It looks like it’ll be best that we give Square Enix a bit of time to sort out the game’s localisation. Afterall, a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is always bad.
