E3 2024 And 2025 Reportedly Cancelled According To Los Angeles City Tourism Department
Following the cancellation of E3 2023, a new report has surfaced suggesting that its future shows for the next two years may have met the same fate.
As explained on ResetEra, the news comes via reports published by the Los Angeles City Tourism Department. Back in October 2022, the Department’s report mentioned that E3’s owner the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) had booked the Los Angeles Convention Centre for June 2024 and June 2025, presumably for their future events. However, the most recent report from last week includes a small footnote stating that the planned E3 2024 and 2025 shows have now been cancelled.
In a statement issued to Eurogamer following this report, the ESA denied the assertion that E3 2024 and 2025 had been outright cancelled. Instead, they explained that they are “currently having conversations about E3 2024 (and beyond)” and “no final decisions about the event have been made at this time.”.
That said, given that E3 has been struggling to maintain interest from publishers, developers, and fans in recent years, it wouldn’t be surprising if the conventions for 2024 and beyond have been put on hold for real. We will be sure to report back with any updates as they Come.
