Interesting news – it seems four important developers at Nintendo have been quietly promoted to new positions this year.
Eiji Aonuma, producer of The Legend of Zelda series, has been promoted to Deputy General Manager. Hisashi Nogami, responsible for the Splatoon and Animal Crossing franchises, was also promoted to Deputy General Manager.
Aya Kyogoku, known for her work on the Animal Crossing series, has been promoted to Manager of EPD Production Group No. 5, the group that develops the Animal Crossing and Splatoon games. Last but not least, Yoshiko Ikebata has been confirmed to be a member of EPD Production Group No. 6, which manages the Luigi’s Mansion and Metroid Prime games.
