Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Kickstarter Campaign Closes With $4.57 million Total

Earlier this year, key creators of the Suikoden series reunited to crowdfund Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – an ambitious new RPG that features 2D sprites in a massive 3D world. Well, the game’s Kickstarter campaign recently wrapped up with a bewildering success!

The campaign has collected a total of 481,621,841 yen ($4.57 million), or almost nine times its original funding goal. On top of the base game, the following extra stretch goals will be also be in development (list courtesy of Gematsu):

As you can see, an extra companion game has also been achieved since the campaign hit $4.5 million. Titled ‘A Quiet Place’ – it will apparently be a town creation RPG that features a variety of different “lifestyle” mini-games. Materials gathered will apparently be transferable to the main game, and some characters from the main game may also make an appearance in A Quiet Place.

All in all, it looks like the team behind Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes have a long road ahead of them. We’ll report back as we hear more about this exciting project in the future!
