Earlier this year, The Pokemon Company revealed a new cooking feature in Pokemon Sword/Shield – which includes actual sausages in some recipes. If you’ve been kept up at night wondering which poor Pokemon end up in such dishes…well, it looks like you’ll be staying sleepless for the foreseeable future.
During a rapid fire interview with Game Freak, Game Informer asked Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori about what kind of meat actually goes into those sausages. Hilariously enough, Ohmori mostly dodges the question by stating that he doesn’t really know – and eventually just calls them ‘Pokemon World Sausages’ to keep things vague.
Here are the exact excerpts below.
Q: “Is the meat in that curry…is that all artificial, fake meat?”
A: “I don’t know what it is…”
Q: “They can just call anything ‘sausage’, in the Pokemon world?”
A: “It’s a Pokemon World Sausage.”
It looks like meat consumption in the Galar region will remain somewhat of a mystery, at least until Game Freak eventually spills the beans.
What do YOU think are inside those mysterious sausages? Feel free to share your guesses below!
