A fan made Pokemon game called Pokemon Iberica has become the No. 1 trending topic in Spain today after it was released by its creator EricLostie.
Pokemon Iberica is a game developed with RPG Maker XP. The game’s story, characters, events, and history are inspired by Spain.
Shortly after the game became available for download, many players and the press criticized the game. They claimed it was “homophobic” and had “political agendas”. EricLostie, creator of Pokemon Iberica, rebutted these claims by calling them “sarcastic and humorous” touches, arguing they had no malicious intention. Some have come to defend EricLostie, so arguments between both sides are ongoing on Twitter and various sites.
