If you’re planning to purchase a copy of Final Fantasy IX, you might want to reconsider your purchase if the quality of music is a huge factor to you.
Alex Donaldson, owner of RPG Site, started playing Final Fantasy IX on both Nintendo Switch and Xbox One today. Donaldson has confirmed that the games released on both platforms have the same “music bug” left unfixed on PC and mobile. According to Donaldson, this bug stops players from hearing “large amounts of the game’s excellent music”.
Donaldson is appalled that Square Enix did not bother to fix this major bug even though they had many months to do so. So if music is very important to you, you might want to hold off your purchase until they get it fixed.
