2017 marks Final Fantasy’s thirtieth anniversary. Starting its journey in 1987, the franchise went on to have 15 mainline titles, movies, anime, and manga. It turns out that the final in Final Fantasy is never really going to mean what it means.
And to celebrate that, Square Enix is releasing a 2-disk Blu-ray soundtrack featuring music from the franchise’s thirty-year-long history. Videos will also accompany the music, taking you on a nostalgic trip across all 15 of the mainline Final Fantasy games. MP3 files will also be made available in the Blu-ray set.
The set will release on 24 January 2018, at a price of ¥6200.
