Final Fantasy VII Update Removes Sharing Restrictions

Square Enix has released a new update for the Final Fantasy VII Switch port.

The update brings the game up to Version 1.03 on Switch, and removes “all previous restrictions for sharing features” for the game on all platforms. Presumably, this means that players have been given explicit permission to share spoilers from the title, of which there are quite a few despite the original being almost 30 years old.

FINAL FANTASY VII Update (Nov. 6)
All previous restrictions for sharing features have been removed from FINAL FANTSY VII on the following platforms:
– PlayStationⓇ4: patch ver. 1.04
– Nintendo Switch: patch ver. 1.03
– Xbox One: patch ver. 1.04
– Microsoft Store(Windows): patch ver. 1.04
