During Gamescom, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata said there’s a chance Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition will release on Nintendo Switch.
Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition was announced for smartphones during Gamescom. Unlike the original game on PS4, it features chibi-like anime style graphics, and it won’t support traditional controllers.
“There is certainly a chance. It’s certainly not zero. Obviously we’d have to think about what the meaning and what the significance of bringing this to Switch would be. You know, whether people would want to play it and whether it would be the right thing to do for our team,” Tabata said.
Earlier this week, Tabata also hinted on a livestream they were looking into bringing Final Fantasy XV to Nintendo Switch. Bear in mind this isn’t the same as the Pocket Edition!
