Japanese artist Yusuke Kozaki should be somewhat familiar to many Fire Emblem series fans from the 3DS era, having been the main character designer/artist for Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates. More recently however, it’s come to light that he also had a small hand in creating the latest generation of Pokemon games!
Just this week, Kozaki revealed that he was actually in charge of designing the Pokemon Cetoddle, Cetitan, Varoom, And Revavroom from Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. He shared this along with some lovely fan-art of these four Pokemon together, which you can check out in full below:
In “Pokemon Scarlet/Violet”, I was in charge of designing Cetoddle, Cetitan, Varoom, And Revavroome under the supervision of developer Game Freak! We aimed for a design that makes people around the world smile and get excited. I hope you all have a wonderful trip to Paldea!
This isn’t the first time Kozaki has contributed to the Pokemon series. In fact, he was also responsible for designing Toxel, Toxtricity, and Falinks from Pokemon Sword/Shield – which is why they feature prominently in his lovely fan-art as well.
