Along with a host of other new features, it looks like Fire Emblem: Three Houses will allow players to experience strategic warfare with a totally new perspective.
Thanks to Nintendo Enthusiast, we’ve recently learnt that players won’t have to stick with the traditional top-down grid map of the series! Instead, they can toggle an option to zoom the camera down to ground-level, where units can run around more freely! Previous trailers did indeed tease at this feature, but this is the first time we’re getting such a good look at it!

As you can see, the grid-based gameplay is still intact – but this viewpoint really livens up the battlefield! It’s anyone’s guess why Nintendo hasn’t tried to market this feature more openly, even if it’s just optional.
In any case, you’ll be able to experience true war like this when Fire Emblem: Three Houses finally launches on 26 July 2019.
