The first photos of the Nintendo Switch 2 dev kit have emerged in the public domain.
The dev kit is called “NDK Core Ounce”. “Ounce” may sound familiar to you as it is the internal codename for Nintendo Switch 2, similar to how “NX” is the codename for Nintendo Switch.
While the dev kit looks largely similar to the final retail unit, there are some peculiar things about it. First, the dev kit is completely black – it doesn’t have the light blue and light red accents that we see on the Joy-Con 2 sticks and the Joy-Con 2 connectors on the console body.
Next, the bottom port consists of what appears to be two USB-C ports, and there is a proprietary cable that connects to it. It is unclear what is the function of this bottom port, as the final retail unit only has one USB-C port.
