The first Splatoon 2 Splatfest is taking place on July 15th

Itching for more Splatoon 2 action? Get ready for the very first Splatoon 2 Splatfest, which will be taking place a week before the game’s launch!

The theme for the first Splatoon 2 Splatfest is Team Ice-Cream versus Team Cake. Which desert is more delicious? This battle will decide it all.

The Splatfest is taking place on July 15th, 2017 from 3pm to 7pm Pacific Time (That’s July 16th 6:00am/7:00am to 10:00am/11:00am Singapore/Tokyo Time). You can download the free demo from the Nintendo eShop later today. Although the Splatfest hasn’t started yet, the demo lets Inklings to vote for their team as well as draw and share artwork to support their favorite team.

Splatfests: While content updates for Splatoon 2 will last around a year, more limited-time Splatfests for the game are planned for the next two years. To kick things off, a free demo to try out the first Splatfest for Splatoon 2 is going to be held on July 15 from 3 to 7 p.m. PT. Players just have to download the free demo in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and get ready to decide if cake or ice cream is their dessert of choice. To prepare in advance, the demo can be downloaded early before the Splatfest goes live, starting later today. Once downloaded, players can start the demo to vote for their team, and even visit the in-game mailbox to create and share drawings in support of their team.
