“I truly am very, very sorry. I will never again try to pass someone else’s words or ideas off as my own. I will be better. I will be original.”
These are Filip Miucin’s exact words as the former IGN games editor finally admitted to plagiarism and issued apology to those whom he wronged, including Boomstick Gaming. On the video, Miucin even revealed the sources of the contents he plagiarized complete with the specific articles.
He specified the articles he plagiarized from Nintendo Life, Nintendo Wire, Engadget, and Polygon. Lastly, Miucin specifically apologized to IGN imploring everyone to understand that he, himself, is the only person at fault.
It has been about 8 months since the Dead Cells review plagiarism scandal and it’s only now that the gaming industry has received a proper, clear cut, and straight to the point apology from Filip Miucin. A little too late, but better late than never, eh?
