Nintendo has registered a bunch of trademarks for their products on August 3, 2018 in Japan.
First, the most interesting trademark is none other than the GameCube controller. Purposes of the trademark include video game hardware and accessories. This trademark could very well be for a future GameCube Classic Edition, or just to prevent other companies from copying Nintendo’s design.
Other trademarks registered include Pilotwings and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, for the purposes of computer programs and video games. Again, these trademarks were registered most likely for to protect Nintendo’s IP.
