GameSpot Names LoZ: Breath of The Wild As Its Game Of The Year

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has clinched another Game of the Year award, this time gaining the recognition of GameSpot.

Citing the game’s reimagination of both the franchise and open-world games. GameSpot claims that Breath of the Wild is so deserving of its title that they “may never be able to look at open-world games the same way again”.

Gamestop even concluded their justification by saying that Breath of the Wild stood above the other strong contenders for this year’s award and is something that will still be discussed in years to come.

It’s a romantic take, but one that holds true if you open yourself up to it. Nintendo’s beautiful and challenging masterpiece deserves more words than we can commit to it here. Like the most meaningful and landmark games of the past, Breath of the Wild is a game that will be discussed and analyzed for years to come. Everyone agrees that 2017 was an amazing year for games, but none other than Breath of the Wild can be considered a milestone for the medium at large.

So congrats to the Zelda Team! You can read the full article from GameSpot here.
