Ganondorf’s Return Confirmed In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, With Stunning New Artwork

Earlier, Nintendo shared a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While it was brief, we got a glimpse of some fresh and familiar faces that will be returning to the land of Hyrule – including a certain Gerudo ruler!

Nintendo has now officially revealed that Ganondorf, the recurring nemesis of Link and Zelda, will in fact be making a return in the upcoming sequel. This was shared alongside new artwork of the character, which reveals his reinvigorated appearance as the “mighty Demon King”:

This marks the first time in over a decade that Ganondorf has made an appearance in a new mainline Legend of Zelda title, the last being Twilight Princess for the GameCube/Wii in 2006.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be hitting Nintendo Switch on 12 May 2023. We’ll report back as we hear more.
