Guide: Tips To Complete Pokemon Scarlet/Violet’s Mightiest Mark Tyranitar Tera Raid
Over the course of this weekend, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet players will be challenging a 7 Star Tera Raid which features a Ghost Tera Type Tyranitar with the Mightiest Mark.
This 7 Star Tera Raid gives out a great deal of useful rewards such as Vitamins, Rare Candies, Ability Patches, and most notably, Herba Mystica. This makes being able to complete the raid consistently extremely useful. Below you will find some quick tips and tricks for beating this Raid Battle, as discovered and shared by members of the Pokemon community.
How To Unlock 7-Star Raids
In order to even participate in this raid battle, players will need to progress far enough in the game to qualify for 7-Star raids. This essentially means meeting the following requirements:
Have completed the story and seen the end credits
Have completed all Gym Rematches and the Academy Ace Tournament
Have completed 10 or more raids rated 4* and above.
Once you have completed these steps, the 7-Star Raid will appear both in your overworld as well as on the Tera Raid board.
Tyranitar’s Ability and Moves
The Tera Raid Tyranitar has a Ghost Tera-Type, meaning that it does more damage with its Rock-Type, Dark-Type and Ghost-Type moves.
As a Ghost Tera-Type, it is weak to Ghost and Dark type attacks.
Tyranitar’s Ability is Sand Stream, which sets us a sandstorm for five turns, boosting the Sp.Defense of Rock-Type Pokemon and damaging all Pokemon every turn except for Rock-Types, Ground-Types, and Steel-Types
Tyranitar’s notable moves include the following:
Stone Edge ~ Rock-Type attack with high critical hit chance
Shadow Claw ~ Ghost-Type attack with high critical hit chance
Crunch ~ Dark-Type attack that may make the opponent flinch, cancelling out their move
Earthquake ~ Ground-Type attack that hits all other Pokemon on the field
Focus Energy ~ Raises the user’s critical hit chance
Dragon Dance ~ Raises the user’s Attack and Speed stats
Tyranitar’s Battle Behaviour
Start ~ Uses Focus Energy
85% Time ~ Resets Player Status and Stat Changes
80% HP / 80% Time ~ Sets up Tera Energy Shield
79% Time ~ Tyranitar Status and Stats Reset
75% HP ~ Uses Dragon Dance

General Recommendations
Avoid using Pokemon with a weakness to Rock, Ghost, Dark, and Ground moves. Fainting in battle reduces the timer, and if it reaches zero before the raid boss is defeated, everyone will fail the raid battle.
Use Level 100 Pokemon to maximize your chance of successfully completing the raid.
Use Vitamins to maximize your Pokemon’s key stats to increase your chance of successfully completing the Raid.
Use Cheers when necessary
