Guide: Unlocking All Sub-Camps In Monster Hunter Rise

Campsites in Monster Hunter Rise serve not only as the starting point for any quest, but are also the only place where hunters can replenish their items and change their gear during the hunt.

Aside from the main campsite, players can also unlock sub-camps located at other points on the map. These sub-camps have the same functions as the main campsite, and add an added layer of convenience to the hunt, especially if the target monster is closer to the sub-camp than it is to the main camp.

In order to unlock sub-camps, players must first discover their locations on the map, then complete a short side-quest for Kagero the Merchant. A list of sub-camp locations along with the associated quests for them can be found below:

Shrine Ruins

• Location: High up on the cliff in Area 10 on the map.
• Side-Quest: Defeat 8 Izuchi in the Shrine Ruins
• Unlock by taking  Village ★1 “Help With Maintenance” Quest that involves Izuchi slaying.

Frost Islands

• Sub-Camp 1
  • Location: Inside the lake near to Area 6.
  • Side-Quest: Defeat 8 Zamite in the Frost Islands.
  • Complete by taking Gathering Hub ★1 “Hot Topic Hooligans” that involves Zamite slaying.
• Sub-Camp 2
  • Location: In a hole between Areas 10 and 8.
  • Side-Quest: Deliver 2 Warm Pelt and 2 Monster Bone.

Flooded Forest

• Location: Up on the hill in Area 11.
• Side-Quest: Defeat 8 Wroggi in the Flooded Forest.
• Complete by taking A Tour Of The Forest Village exploration and going to areas 9 and 11.

Sandy Plains

• Sub-Camp 1
  • Location: On the hills between Areas 7 and 3, take the Great Wirebug from the Main Camp to reach the location.
  • Side-Quest: Defeat 8 Kestodon in the Sandy Plains.
  • Complete by taking Gathering Hub ★2 “Dawn Of The Kestrodon” that involves Kestrodon slaying.
• Sub-Camp 2
  • Location: In an oasis south of Area 9.
  • Side-Quest: Deliver 2 Lagombi Pelt and 2 Monster Bone M.

Lava Caverns

• Sub-Camp 1
  • Location: Past the broken bridge leading up to Area 7
  • Side-Quest: Defeat 8 Uroktor in the Sandy Plains.
  • Complete by taking A Tour Of The Forest Village exploration and going to areas 13 and 14.
• Sub-Camp 2
  • Location: Up on the hills past Area 10
  • Side-Quest: Deliver 1 Tetranodon Hide nd 2 Monster Bone L.
