On November 16, 1952, Shigeru Miyamoto was born in Kyoto, Japan.
Miyamoto is the most legendary video game designer the world has ever seen. He is said to be the father of Mario, Link, Pikmin, Star Fox, and many other characters Nintendo created in the last few decades.
Thanks to his contributions to society and the video game industry, Miyamoto has earned the respect of many people around the world. The young Miyamoto climbed from the position of apprentice in 1977 to becoming a Representative Director and Creative Fellow in 2017.
We wish Miyamoto good health and many more years of fun to come. Without Miyamoto, it would be hard to imagine a world filled with so many enjoyable video games.
