Early players of Mario Kart World have shared new information on how courses are selected in online lobbies.
Players in online lobbies are given the option to select one of the three courses that are connected to the prior course that was raced on, as well as a random course.
In the event one of the three courses is selected, players will race on the route from the prior course to the selected course, followed by one lap in the selected course itself.
If a random course was chosen, players will race three laps around the selected course, similar to traditional races in past Mario Kart entries.
In addition, it seems that the speed class of races is dependent on the ranking of players in the lobby. If player rankings aren’t high, 100cc races can be expected most of the time. This will increase to 150cc when there are more players with higher rankings.
