Here’s Why The Island In The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct Was Named “Ninten” And Not “Nintendo”

In the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct, the island that was off to us was named “Ninten”, rather than “Nintendo”.

The reason behind this has been revealed. In the Japanese Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct, “Ninten Island” is called “Ninten島”, or “Nintentou”. That’s actually a pretty smart word play on “Nintendo”. So now you know why!
