Following the release of Pokemon Legends Arceus, Niantic has added one if its new Hisuian Forms to Pokemon GO.

Hisuian Voltorb can now be encountered alongside regular Voltorbs in the ongoing Power Plant event, and is the subject of some new special Research Tasks. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, Hisuian Voltorb will not be able to evolve in Pokemon GO. Presumably, this is to avoid spoilers as Pokemon Legends Arceus has only just been released.
